Ensure that the clutch pedal is completely de-pressed when shifting. If it is difficult to shift into 1st gear, depress the clutch pedal again, and then it will be easy to shift. When shifting from 5th gear to reverse gear, first shift into neutral “N” and then shift into reverse gear.ShiftingShift carefully according to the rotating speed of the engine and vehicle speed. Correct shifting method could improve the economical Efficiency of the fuel and prolong the service life of the engine. Shifting into low gear under high speed will cause over speed of the engine (the engine indicating gauge pointing at red area) and dam-age the engine, so try to avoid this occurring.Vehicle speed in fuel-saving drivingThe following shift points could assure the economical efficiency of the fuel. The driver could adjust shift points according to vehicle condition and load.Driving speedTransmission5th gear is over speed gear, and it can reduce the rotating speed of the engine relative to 4th gear.Under permitted vehicle speed, try to use 5th gear to get perfect economical efficiency of the fuel.Transfer caseAccording to the road condition, choose two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive via transfer case operating switch.Operate the transfer case operating switch and switch into four-wheel drive state. The position of transfer case operating switch and corresponding operating conditions are shown in the table below.Ignition switchLOCK (locking) positionWhen the switch is at this position, the engine is shut off, the steering wheel is such as radio player could be operated locked, and the key could be inserted and pulled out. If the key could not be turned at this position, gently turn the steering wheel left and right alternately, and try to turn the key again at the same time.Ignition switchACC (accessories) positionWhen the engine is shut off, accessories’ such as radio player could be operatedON (open) positionThe engine operates and all electrical equipments could be controlledSTART (start) positionWhen the key is at this position, the engine is started. Release the key after the engine is started, and the key will return to automaticallyStarting engineWhen using diesel engine turn the key to “ON” position. Check the oil pressure indicator light, engine indicator light and indicator light of fuel-water separator water quantity are lighted. In warm weather, the preheating indicator light is on for 0.3 second before extinguishing, and in cold weather, this indicator light is on for 3.5 seconds or longer. Once the preheat in indicator light is off, depress the clutch pedal to the bottom and turn the key to start the engine.Parking brakeParkingPlease operate as the following procedures:Close the engine and pull tightly the parking brake. Put into gear (putting into1st gear on uphill; putting into reverse gear on downhill), and make the wheel deviate. If the vehicle is on steep gradient, block the wheel with stopper or stone.Do not put the ignition key at “ACC” or “ON “position to avoid the discharge of the battery. In addition, always pull out the key when getting off. It is strictly forbidden to leave children in the car without care, and always pull out the ignition key when leaving the car and bring the key along with you.Parking brakePull up the parking brake handle. Do not press the button at the handle at the moment. The parking brake handle is at parking position. When the ignition key is at “ON” position, the brake alarm lamp on the instrument will be lit. Release the parking brake handle before vehicle running. Gently pull up the parking brake handle. Press the button at the handle end. Release the parking brake handle. Before driving, confirm the parking brake warn- in light flames out.Travel of parking brake handleParking brakePull up the parking brake handle to check the number of “da da” sound from the ratchet. Each producing sound indicates one tooth that the handle moves. In normal condition, the tooth number that the handle moves should comply with the regulations. The travel of the parking brake handle:8~10 teeth. If the travel of the parking brake handle is not within the standard range, please ask CHTC AUTO Authorized Service station to adjust.Braking systemAll parts of braking system are safety parts.Drive your automobile to CHTC AUTO Authorized Service station to inspect regularly as the requirement of maintenance manual.Service braking systemThe service braking system has two sets of braking pipelines. If one pipeline is ineffective, the other one could stop the vehicle. However, you have to depress the brake pedal with more force than at other times. Stop driving vehicle and go to the nearest CHTC AUTO Authorized Service station as quickly as possible to repair. When the engine stops, the braking boost will be ineffective after the brake pedal is depressed once or twice. If this occurs, the force to depress the brake pedal will be much more than at other times. This point is very important, especially when the vehicle is towed. After the brake is soaked.Especially after the brake is soaked, drive at slow speed after starting to check the braking system. When driving in heavy rain, after running through water pit or washing vehicle, a layer of water film will be formed on the brake disc and thus affect normal operation. If this occurs, drive at slow speed and gently depress the brake pedal to dry the brake.Driving on downhillShift into low gear when driving on steep gradient, and in order to avoid overheat of the brake, making use of the engine to brake is very important.Brake padsAbrasion limit indicator of brake padsWhen the brake pads are worn severely, the indicator of brake pads mounted on the front disc brake will alarm.Parking brakeParking on the slopeFor vehicle equipped with manual transmission, pull up the parking brake handle when parking, and putinto 1st gear on uphill, put into Reverse gear on downhill. When parking on the slope, rotate the wheel as shown in the figure below.Climbing up with curb on the road sideDown grading with curb on the road sideClimbing up/down grading without curbParking with engine rotatingIn sealed or poor ventilation area, do not let the engine rotate for a long time, because the carbon monoxide of vehicle tail gas is smell less and poisonous.Parking brakeParking placeDo not park vehicle on the place with flammable substance such as dry grass or withered leaves. The high temperature of exhaust System is easy to cause fire. When leaving vehicleWhen leaving the vehicle, pull out the ignition key and lock all the doors. Try to park on the site with light illumination.Vacuum Booster The brake booster increases the control power by vacuum of the engine vacuum pump.Indications for seat beltWe suggest all passengers tie the seat belt provided inside the vehicle. In order to let the seat belt exert its proper function, please observe the following preventive measures. If you don’t observe, the unexpected accident or sudden parking may cause severe injuries. Therefore, check the seat belt system regularly. If any ineffective performance of the seat belt is found, please immediately ask CHTC AUTO Authorized Service station to inspect this system.ChildWe suggest letting the children sit on the rear seats, and ensure to tie the seat belt. According to the statistics on traffic accidents, the children sitting on the rear seats and tying the seat belt properly is much safer than the case that the children sit on the front seats the children are not allowed to stand or kneel on the seat. Do not carry the child in your arms. If you carry your child in arms, the pressing between the vehicle and you will injure the child in accident.Small figure person or teenagerFor small figure persons or teenagers, if the upper part of the seat belt touches their necks or faces when they sit on the front seats, they could move the seats forward or backward to make the seat belt feel better.Pregnant womanWe suggest that it is better to use the seat belt. You could also consult your doctor to get helpful suggestion.Disabled personsIt is strongly suggests that you had better to use the seat belt. You could also consult your doctor to get helpful suggestion.Seat beltTightly tying the seat belt at waist/shoulderRegulate the front seat if necessary. Adjust your sitting posture and sit straight on the seat.Tightly holding the seat belt locking sheet metalPull the seat belt of waist-shoulder to travel through the body. Furthermore, lock the sheet metal along the slide of the seat belt to connect the locking sheet metal with the buckle. Insert the locking sheet metal into the buckle, and en- sure they are locked tightly. The lower the location of the waist seat belt than that of the hip seat belt the better it is.Seat beltHeight of the shoulder seat beltThe height of shoulder seat belt could be regulated within 5 ranges, and press the regulating button of the shoulder fastener to regulate up- ward or downward. Regulate the sliding fit at the shoulder position supporting the seat belt, and push it forward through the locking sheet metal until the waist seat belt travels through the waist. Avoid the passenger sliding from the seat belt in traffic accident.Loosening of the seat belt at waist-shoulderPress the buckle button to release the seat belt. After the buckle is unlocked, the seat belt should be contracted. Hold tightly the locking sheet metal until the seat belt returns completely, and pay attention not to touch the passengers or objects nearby. Before locking the door, ensure that the seat belt returns completely and the locking sheet metal is facing outside to protect the seat belt inside and outside not to be damaged.Lap belt of rear middle seat (not contracted type)Cautions for using seat beltSit straight and lean against the seat back. Pull out the waist seat belt of rear seat center and put it before you, and pull straight the seat belt. Then pull slowly to make it travel through your waist, and insert the locking sheet metal into the buckle until it is closed.Make the seat belt travel through your waist and be lower than hip. Then hold the bottom of the movable seat belt, pull itSeat beltthrough the locking sheet metal until the seat belt travels through your waist so as to regulate the sliding fit. Reduce the danger brought by the sliding of the seat belt in accident. Press the buckle button to release the seat belt.Safety requirements on children check used for infantsWhen taking the automobile, the infants should be put in appropriate children check, and they should not be put on your knees, because even the strongest adult could not resist the wallop in accident, and the children may be kept between the adult and the automobile parts. In addition, the child and adult are not allowed to use one seat belt. CHTC AUTO suggests the children check be mounted in the rear seat. Except the condition that the child is a baby and there is only one adult (you) in the automobile. According to statistics on accident, it is safer to correctly confine the child in the rear seat than in the front seat. Incorrect installation of children check will cause severe injuries in accident.InfantCHTC AUTO suggests the infant be placed in the children check system, and you should choose the children check system suitable for your automobile.ChildThe children with higher height and more weight that could not use the children check system should use the seat belt. CHTC AUTO Motor suggests the child be seated in the rear seat. According to statistics on accident, the child correctly confined in the rear seat is safer than the one in the front seat. If the seat belt of the seat that the child sits on is close to face or neck, use heightened seat (bought) to solve this problem. The heightened seat should lift the child to shoulder and the upper middle part striding over the shoulder to lower the at- attachment strap to hip. The heightened seat should be suitable for the automobile seat, and with the growing of the child, the shoulder belt is no longer close to face and neck, and the heightened seat is not necessary.Pregnant womanCHTC AUTO suggests pregnant woman use seat belt, and contact the doctor to get special suggestions, and the attachment strap should be wound around the hip as low as possible (not wound around the waist).Wounded personCHTC AUTO suggests wounded person use seat belt, and use according to the state of injury, and it is better to ask the doctor to give special suggestions.Seat belt maintenanceWhen cleaning the seat belt, smear neutral cleaning fluid or recommended cleaning fluid used for cleaning interior trim or carpet on the seat belt, and then brush and wash with cloth, and dry it in cool place, and roll up the seat belt after it is dry completely. If there is dust entering into the joint of the shoulder belt, the seat belt will response slowly. Wipe up with clean dry cloth. Regularly check the fabrics and metal elements such as hasp, clip tooth, retractor, seat belt and joint holder etc operate normally. If there are loosened parts, damage, cut marks or other damages with the seat belt, replaces the seat belt assembly.Driving methodStartWhen parking vehicle, do not let the engine continue rotating at high speed either under idle speed or accelerating: under this condition, the engine is harder to be heated and the fuel consumption and emission will be increased. Therefore, it is advised to start the automobile slowly at once to avoid accelerating, and the engine will be quicker to beDriving methodheated under this condition. During driving Try to keep uniform speed and drive with economical speed, because this could assure the minimum fuel consumption. Redundant operation Do not depress the accelerator pedal when stop- ping to wait for the red light or before the engine flames out. Depressing the accelerator pedal is like “depress the clutch twice”. The above is completely redundant operation and will only increase the fuel consumption and emission.Speed changeOnce the traffic condition and road condition permit, shift into higher gear. When accelerating, obtaining higher speed with lower gear will in- crease the fuel consumption. Using improper high gear position will increase the fuel consumption, emission and engine loss.Maximum speedAccelerating will obviously increase the fuel consumption. Try to keep uniform speed, and avoid braking and over sudden accelerating. AccelerationOver sudden acceleration will cause the high idle speed of the engine and obviously increase the fuel consumption and exhaust: it is best to accelerate gradually and not to exceed the maximum torque.Service conditionCold startToo short journey and frequent start could not make the engine reach the optimal service temperature. It will obviously increase the fuel consumption (increase +15% to +30% when driving in the city) and harmful gas.Busy traffic conditionHigh oil consumption is directly related to busy traffic condition, for example, frequently use the low gear of transmission in line driving or driving with many traffic lights in big city. Furthermore, bumpy road and mountain road and poor road condition will also bring adverse effect to the fuel consumption.Traffic blockFor long-time block, please shut off the engineSnow tireUse cold-weather tire of the same size with that of the tire matching with the automobile. Test has proved that the performance of these snow tires will be lower than the performance of tire originally equipped by the automobile under normal environment or driving for long on the highway because of the special characteris- tics of the tires, so it is necessary to limit the use of snow tires.Mount the same tires (brand and outline) to four wheels to assure the optimal operation safety, braking and perfect operability. It needs to remind that the rotating direction of the tire could not be reversed.Snow chainThe use of snow nonskid chain depends on different current standards of different nations. Try to mount the snow nonskid chain to the drive wheels (rear wheels). For four-wheel drive vehicle, the driving force is distributed to the rear wheels at first, so if non- skid chain must be used, ensure it is mounted to the rear wheels. After a running of about more than 10 meters, retighten the nonskid chain.Power SteeringSteeringInclining steering wheel (equipped with)Push this lever upward, and adjust the steering wheel up and down to expected position, Then release this lever to lock the steering wheel firmly.Power steering systemWhen the engine stops operating, the power steering system will also stop operating; you need to turn the steering wheel with more force at the moment. Especially when towing vehicles. Please remember that do not shut off the engine during driving.Check the power steering fluid level regularly.AntennaLengthen the antenna to get the optimal effect.InspectionEngine oil Park on flat ground, and check the oil level height after the engine stops operating for several minutes (approximate five minutes). The liquid level shall be between the minimum and maximum mark of the oil scale. If the oil level height is close to or lower than the minimummark, refill the oil via filler until the maximum mark is reached. The oil level shall not exceed the maximum oil level of the scale.Regular maintenanceEngine oilEngine circulation coolantWhen the engine is under the cooling state, check that the liquid level of the coolant is between the maximum and minimum mark of the over- flow tank. In the case the liquid level is insufficient, open the radiator plug and inject ethylene glycol - 35 ℃ anti-freezing fluid until the liquid level reaches the maximum mark. When supplementing filling, use the fluid the same as that in the cooling pipe.Glass cleaning liquidThe function of the glass cleaning liquid is to improve the visibility of the vision. Check the liquid level of cleaning agent via the overflow tank. When adding liquid, uncover the plug slightly. (For the specification of cleaning fluid, see the working liquid and dosage of other parts in technical information chapter.)Brake oilScrew off the oil cup cap and check the liquid level in the oil cup is between maximum (MAX) and minimum mark (ADD). When necessary for adding liquid, only DOT4 synthetic brake fluid can be used. Notes: Brake fluid will absorb water. Hence, if the automobile is in service in the area of higher atmospheric humidity most of time, the frequency of brake fluid to be replaced shall be higher than that of “maintenance plan “required.Clutch fluidScrew off the oil cup cap and check the liquid level in the oil cup is between maximum (MAX) and minimum mark (ADD). When necessary for adding liquid, only DOT4 synthetic brake fluid can be used. Notes: Brake fluid will absorb water. Hence, if the automobile is in service in the area of higher atmospheric humidity most of time, the frequency of brake fluid to be replaced shall be higher than that of “maintenance plan” required.Clutch fluidWhen screwing off the oil reservoir cap, extremely high corrosive brake oil shall be avoided to contact with the paint-removing parts. Otherwise, clean it off with water right away.Power steering fluidScrew off the oil cup cap and check the liquid level in the oil cup is between maximum (MAX) and minimum mark (ADD). When necessary for adding fluid, only ATF DEXRON Ⅲ fluid drive oil can be usedInspection of beltCheck the power steering oil pump belt tension. Check the air conditioning belt tension. Check the alternator belt tension. Also check the belt has the crack or damages, if having, please go to CHTC AUTO special maintenance station for repair and replacement.Wiper bladesReplacement of wiper blades Wiper bladesFront wiper1. Raise the wiper arm from the windshield.2. Pull the wiper blade out until the wiper blades thrust point (A) falls off the wiper arm hook (B).Then, pull the wiper blade out again and let the wiper blade fall off.3. Install a new wiper blade on the backing(C).4. Insert new blade into the wiper arm, when inserting, push it in the opposite direction from wiper thrust end. Ensure wiper arm hook (B)installed in the wiper slot.5. Pull the wiper blade in until the wiper arm hook (B) and blade thrust point(A)are completely jointed.1. If you need to park your vehicle on the road for some reasons, park the vehicle on the right side (or the left side) of the road as much as possible, and avoid parking the vehicle on traffic lane.2. Pull up hand brake and place triangular warning board at appropriate location (no matter day or night).Note: triangular warning board is below rear seats. In the case of flat tireWhen tire is flat and needs replacing, precautions must be followed first of all:Switch on danger alarm flasher.Park vehicles at sites that are not traffic main arteries and on flat ground that shall not do harm to you and your vehicles.Pull up parking brake and switch manual transmission to reverse gear.Shut down the engine.Block the wheelPlace proper blocks before and behind wheels in diagonal whose tires are flat in order to prevent the vehicle from moving when it is being jacked up.Procedures for taking out spare tires and toolsLifting jack and tool kit are deposited under the cushion of left rear seat. Take out wheel nut wrench and two connecting rods from tool kit. Assemble the two connecting rods and wheel nut wrench as indicated in the figure.Block the wheelThere is an elliptical opening at the center part below tail board. Insert connecting rods into the opening and align them with spare tire winch.Insert connecting rods into T-shape opening of spare tire winch, then rotate them anticlockwise to lower spare tire. After spare tire is completely lowered, take out spare tire pallet from under the vehicle and carefully take out spare tire from under the rear part of the vehicle.Support vehicles with jackPlace jack directly under support point as illustrated in the figure.Support vehicles with jackFuseFuse inspection and replacementFuseNo.2 fuse blockIf headlight or other electrical parts do not work, check the fuse. If fuse is already blown, replace it.Turn off ignition switch and other parts which do not work ,pull out fuse that is broken to check.Replace fuseFuseThere is a fuse inserter & puller in fuse box. First take out fuse inserter & puller from fuse box, and then use it to pull out the fuse. Insert new fuse of the same specification into the same position of fuse holder with fuse inserter & puller.Find out that which fuse has the problem. The circuitry designation of each fuse is marked on the cover of the fuse box. Fuse inserter & puller may be used to pull out fuse of class A. If you are not sure whether the fuse has been burned out, use good fuse and replace the possible faulty fuse. If you are sure the fuse has been burned out, encase the new fuse into the original position. Only install the fuse of the same amperes with that regulated on the fuse box cover. If you do not find the fuse with same amperes, fuse with lower amperes may be used to replace it .Hover you must fing the correct one, put the fuse with lower amperes into the original position. Only install the fuse of the same amperes with that regulated on the fuse box cover. It is better to buy a set of spare fuse for using in emergency. If the new fuse is quickly burned out, there may be trouble with the electrical problem. Thus it is necessary to make it overhauled at CHTC AUTO special maintenance station as soon as possible.Jump startDo not start vehicles by push or pull, for this shall easily damage three-way catalytic converter or other parts of vehicles. In the case of discharge of batteries, you may use jumper cable and batteries in good condition of other vehicles to start your vehicleJump startDismount cables according to reverse procedures of connection.(First dismount cables from engine of power supply vehicle)Jump startStart by pushTractionTractionDragging with front wheel lifted off the ground (type D) Switch gear shift lever (manual transmission) or gear selection lever (automatic transmission) to “N” (Neutral) position. Release parking brake handle. Dragging with rear wheel lifted off the ground (type E) Turn ignition switch to “ACC”position, and fix steering wheel at straight driving middle position with ropes or fasten tape. Never turn ignition switch to “LOCK” position. Dragging with steering wheel locked is dangerous. When dragging your vehicles, local laws and regulations on traction must be observed. Incorrect dragging may do damage to your vehicles. Therefore your vehicles must be dragged correctly to avoid accidental damage. CHTC AUTO Automobile recommends maintenance personnel to drag your vehicles.Precautions for tractionWhen dragging vehicles, ensure transmission, front and rear axle, steering system and drive system are all in normal condition, and if any unit is damaged, trailers must be used. In the case of traction with rear wheels on the groundTractionTurn ignition switch to “ACC”position, and maintain right ahead direction of steering wheel with a rope or similar devices. Do not put ignition key at “LOCK” position, for this shall lead to damage of locking mechanism of steering wheel.Engine ParametersEngine Model GW491QE 4JB1TCEngine Manufacturer Baoding Great Wall motor co. ltd Chengdu engine co.,ltdType Four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder, closed-circuit multipointinjiection Water cooling、Four-stroke、in-line、 OHV,Turbo,Electronic VEpumpCylinder diameter 91mm 93mmStroke 86mm 102displacement 2.237L 2.771Compression ratio 9.1:1 17.5:1Rated power 78kw/(4600r/min) 68/3600Maximum torque 190N.m/(2400-2800r/min) 215/2000Oil grade Grade above QG(or SG) API CF-4 SAE 15W-40Idling speed 750±50 800±50Fuel tank capacity 58L 60LCylinder ignition procedure 1-3-4-2 1-3-4-2Min. fuel consumption(g/kW.h) 250 218Lubrication system capacity 4.2L 5.6LAnti-freezing liquid 7.9L 8LFour wheel alignment ParametersFront wheel camber 0°10′±30′Kingpin inclination angle 9°30′±45′Kingpin rear inclination 2°45′±30′Toe in 0-2mmUnitrans世聯(lián)翻譯公司在您身邊,離您近的翻譯公司,心貼心的專業(yè)服務,專業(yè)的全球語言翻譯與信息解決方案供應商,專業(yè)翻譯機構品牌。
